The Community is advised that the Eruv has been inspected and found to be kosher. Accordingly it may be relied upon for this Shabbat, Parshat Terumah.

Eruv Status Announcement Issued by the Administrator of the Eruv Dr Peter Kloot on Friday 19 February 2010 , 8:54 am Melbourne time on behalf of the Council of Orthodox Synagogues of Victoria (COSV).


  •  The Melbourne Eruv is one of the largest in the world outside Israel. 
  •  The current perimeter is more than 30 kilometres. 
  •  The boundary passes through St Kilda, Elwood, Brighton, East Brighton, Moorabbin, Highett, Moorabbin   East, East Bentleigh,Murrumbeena,Carnegie, North Caulfield and East St Kilda.
